Trip Itinerary

DAY 1|Jun 19

Arrive in Venice on your own timing.  Stay overnight with group at hotel near airport.

DAY 2|Jun 20

Private group transfer to Alta Badia (La Valle)(around 3 hours) after breakfast.  We will drop our bags at the hotel and find a quaint local restaurant for lunch (cost not included).  Check into hotel where you will stay for the next three nights.  A group dinner will be provided with a toast to our adventure! DAY 3|Jun 21

After breakfast, meet our local hiking guides.  Circle route walk La Valle to Crusc de Rit to La Valle.  This ring route, which overlooks the village of La Val, is doable for everyone and starts directly from our hotel, from where one can walk through the forest road to reach the meadows of Rit. From here, passing through numerous “hütten” (huts) on a flat stretch, one reaches the rock of Crusc de Rit. Enjoy the spectacular the view of the old church and the church of Santa Berbura   (B, L, D)

DAY 4|Jun 22

Local bus (paid on spot) from La Valle to either towns of Pederoa/Longiaru and return.  See wide panoramas over the whole of La Valle from Pederoa with a gradual descent along the Gran Ega river (the largest in Val Badia) or set off on a steep climb to the flanks of Monte Putia through Rifugio Genova with views of the peaks of Puez-Odle National Park and through the Seres Valley where you will see ancient watermills.  (B, L, D)

Hike options: (A) Loop from Pederoa to Spizan to Pederoa 8 miles, 2532 ft (up/down total), 5 hours (B) Longiaru to Rifugio Genova to Longiaru 10 miles, 3642 ft (up/down total), 6 hours

DAY 5|JUN 23

Check out of hotel after breakfast.  Private transfer to Passo Gardena, a pass connecting Wolkenstein in Gardena valley and Corvara in Badia.  Hike from Passo Gardena to Passo Camplongo.   The Campolongo Pass is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites in Trentino in Italy. It connects Corvara in the Val Badia and Arabba.  You will be picked up in Passo Campolongo for transfer to hotel in Canazei, where you will stay for the next 4 nights.  (B, L)

DAY 6|JUN 24

Private transfer from Canazei to Vigo di Fassa.   Vigo di Fassa is an ideal starting point for hiking in the Dolomites.   A modern cable car takes you from the village centre to higher altitudes including Rifugio-Gardeccia or Ciampede.  Stop in Ctinaccio with possibly a visit to the Vajolet Refuge (built in 1897).  Return to Vigo di Fassa via cable car with a private transfer back to the hotel.    (B, L)

DAY 7|JUN 25

Private transfer from Canazei to Campitello di Fassa.  Use the cable car to Col Rodella; walk around Sasso Piatto and then return to Canazei via private transfer. (B, L)

Hike options: (A) 8.7 mile hike with 2549 ft (up/down total); 6 hours (B) more moderate hike TBD

DAY 8|JUN 26

Take the cable car in Canazei to Col dei Rossi (the most famous ski area in the Fassa valley) and Via del Pan. This name is Ladin means “bread path”. It follows the high ridge between the Sella and Marmolada.  The landscape is characterized by Alpine meadows.  From Via del Pan you will walk to Penia where a private transfer in the afternoon will take you back to Canazei.  (B, L)

DAY 9| JUN 27

Private group transfer to the Venice airport (about 2 hrs) after breakfast. (B)

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

An initial non-refundable deposit of $500 is required at time of reservation.

Final payment is due by April 6th, 20xx.

• If cancel prior to April 6th; forfeit deposit.

• If cancel between April 6th and May 6th; forfeit deposit and 50% of cost.

• If cancel after May 6th, there will be no refund.

• Land portion: $2351.00 per person, based on double occupancy for a group size of 14

• Limited single supplement available in the Dolomites: $225.00

• Single supplement in Venice TBD
